Last post: English Language Challenges

What's up guys! Today's post is the last one and I'm going to talk to you about English Language challenges and how difficult it's for me to speak and write in english. I have to say that in school I was not a very diligent student, specially in english, because I didn't like to remember the grammar rules, the verbs, and all that stuff, I preferred experiencing the English Language in a practical way, like watching movies or reading books and magazines that I liked, and that I previously read and watch, so I can associate the words between english and spanish.
Doing blogs is a very useful way to improve your english, it helped me to create new ideas and keep more or less a logic in the text that I writing, it helps me a lot to write in english.
Resultado de imagen de english languageThe most important aspect that I need to improve is the speaking part, I am not good when I have to speak with somebody in english, I find it difficult, and the only way to improve this part is speaking more in english, easy.
Outside the english class I don't use the english in my daily life, sometimes, I speak with a friend of mine that lives in the United States, it is a great exercise and I have a great assistance, she corrects me when I write something wrong, or helps me with my pronunciation, and that means a lot.
I think that I've really improved my english in the English 4 course, because the teacher speaks very well, that helps you to find the right words or just to pronounce relatively well the words that I found more difficult.

The changes that I would do in my Career

Resultado de imagen para estresHi everyone, today's post is about some changes that I would do in my actual career that is Dentistry. All the peoplethink that Dentistry is a very easy carrer and they are wrong, is the most difficult carrer in the university (at least at the University of Chile). One thing that I would change in the study program is the workload and length of the studies, for example, the subject of "Anatomical and Biological bases of Head and Neck" requires a lot of study, something that I agree completely, but sometimes in the exams the teachers exaggerate in evaluating. This subject gives me a lot of stress, I have to study a lot to only reach the 4.0, and I have to stop to doing other things only to study this damn subject, leaving the study of the others subjects too. I think the teachers think that their subject is the most important, so they do whatever they want. I think that a good formation is necessary to create good professionals, and according to the mark that left the graduates of this university in the country, we could not stay behind it, but they go beyond that I guess.

Other thing that I would change is the Pre-clinic facilities, they are very obsolete and due the high price of this career, it is necessary to have an equally relation between price and quality of this service. The first year the theory is wide and only focused on that; the next years become more clinical and you have to practice the theory.

My favorite Band

Resultado de imagenHello, what's up everyone, today's post is about my favorite band: Tame Impala. The Australian group began in 2007 and are composed by Kevin Parker, vocals and guitar; Jay Watson, synth and backing vocals; Dominic Simper, guitar and synth; Cam Avery, bass and backing vocals, and Julien Barbagallo, drums and backing vocals. It belongs to the psychedelic rock scene, and they are a reference to other artists in this style of music.
Resultado de imagen para tame impalaI like the band because they combine very well the sounds from different instruments to create a great atmosphere in your ears (I listen to their music by earphones or headphones, connected to my phone), specially when you are trying to have a nice moment in your bed, when I'd like to have a little bit of energy to do the homework or do anything I have to do in the day, I put my earphones on, connect them to my phone, and generally select "Apocalypse Dreams", it has a great rythm and really works for me.
Other thing that i like from the band is that they have from sort of classic rock, to a "High Fidelity Psychedelic Electro", so when you listen one of their albums, you have a lot of options, depending what you'd like to do or depending on your state of mind, they are, in my personal opinion, a complete kind of music.

They were in Chile about a year ago, but I can't go, so if they come again, I will go to that concert!

Summer Holidays

Resultado de imagen para caburgua
What's up everyone, today's post is about Summer Holidays. This year would be a little different form others, because my little brother finished the high school, so we should register in the university before vacation, as soon as we finish this procedure, we can go to the south of Chile, specifically, Pucon, that is located in the Ninth Region. I have planned to go away with my brother and some friends, and just chill out during the trip, anyways, everywhere we go, there is a lot of fun togheter. The last year, the same group traveled to Pucon, so we like to repeat the experience, in the same place, a hostel in the center of the city, to share with other people. We would do a lot of things, like swim in the lake, go to parties in the city, walk across the city, go to the mountains near the city, etc.

Near the zone of Pucon, is Caburgua, a little place to pitch a tent, and have a quiet moment in the lakeshore. Maybe we would go to the Villarica volcano, and spend the afternoon enjoying the landscape on the peak.
During the trip, we will cook, so anything can happen, the most important thing is that the food we cook is able to eat and we do not get sick doing it, and that has an acceptable flavor.

SDLE

Here a photo of Leo, my parse, and  me, during SDLE
Hi everyone, today's post is about SDLE, but, what is SDLE? SDLE is the acronym of "Semana De La Escuela". First of all, our university has many years since it was founded, so a lot of stories can be told about its faculties. The Dentistry Faculty has one hundred and five years of history, and every year we celebrate during the week that contains the great day of  its foundation. On this week, a lot of activities are perfomed, and almost everything "has" to be done to get some points, to win the first place and all the honor that involves. Many things happen during this week, but all that happen in  SDLE, stays in SDLE.
Personally, I think that SDLE is a great opportunity to hang out with friends and have a good time enjoying the acitivities, and drinking a little bit of alcohol, just to share with your friends (not to get drunk). But, how to survive SDLE? Just control yourself, keep your dignity and do not attemp something that you will regret of later. In my case, I think I survived SDLE just following that basic principles, and keeping in mind that SDLE is only one week, in a year of hundred of weeks, so, is better to keep calm and just enjoy the landscape. Other important thing is the homework that you have to do, is better to finish it before the SDLE, because the hangover can difficult the optimum performance the weeks after it.
So guys, if you are thinking of having a great week, follow these steps and enjoy!

Postgraduate Studies

Hi everyone, today's post is about a postgraduate course that I like to taking in the future. So far i didn't consider the idea of having a posgraduate study, but, thinking about it i would like to take Maxillofacial Surgery or Periodontics, which are specialities of Dentistry. I would like to study something related to the clinic practice, not the theory, maybe take this courses in the University of Chile, but I would like to go study in other country, learn other techniques and ways to perform the same job but more, efficiently?. If I take a postgraduate course, i would take it full time, only studying and concentrating all my effort in that, not working and studying, maybe save some money to do it. Anyways, the first thing to take a postgraduate course is finish the graduate course. After that, you have to work in general dentistry some years, to earn some experience from the fieldwork, learn to treat the pacient in the right way, all the procedures to have a good performance in your place of work.
I think the most important thing of have a postgraduate study is the money, there is some scholarships to pay the university fee, but, I'm thinking to save some money to take a postgraduate course, I guess is the most comfortable way for me to do it.

The kind of job that i would like to have: Tour Guide

Resultado de imagen para mountain tourismI'm studying dentistry right now, i'm very happy doing it, but the job that I would like to have is something very different from removing caries and working with teeth. I imagine my ideal job like something that allows me to live only with the necessary things (food, water, a place to live and sleep) and some money to spend travelling or buying clothes, the money isn't my priority in my "ideal" job. I would like to work outdoors, watching the landscape, sort of a tour guide but not in the city, the mountain is my ideal place to work. I really like the mountain, I can see all around me from the top, and I would like to guide other people to see that, it is a very pleasant feeling.
Resultado de imagen para TOUR GUIDEI would like to travel a lot in this job, changing view almost everyday and travelling to other countries to learn different aspects of the mountain's tourism, maybe stay working in other countries. I would like to have a salary only to live with the basic things but at the same time in a confortable way, not a lot of money, I think that is completely unnecessary, you can have an excelent life with less. I think that is my idea of a perfect job, a thing that allows you to live with the right things, comfortable, happy but not with a lot of money, but  unfortunately nowadays I cannot do that.
